Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 17, 2026
Our Commitment
Solera (operated by Brixton Stratton LLC) is committed to ensuring that solerasealbeach.com is accessible to people with disabilities. We want every guest, online and in person, to be able to learn about our menu, wine list, hours, and make a reservation with ease. We work to provide an inclusive digital experience and welcome feedback that helps us do better.
Conformance Standard
This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, including visual, hearing, cognitive, motor, and neurological disabilities.
We strive to meet or exceed Level AA conformance across all pages of this site. We also monitor the additional Level AA Success Criteria introduced in WCAG 2.2 (October 2023) — including SC 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured (Minimum) and SC 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) — and have applied them where practical, with the intention of formalizing 2.2 AA conformance in a future review.
Measures Taken
We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) on every page
- Skip-to-main-content link for keyboard users
- Logical heading hierarchy (h1 through h3) on every page
- Descriptive text alternatives for all meaningful images
- Decorative graphics marked so they are not announced by assistive technology
- Color contrast meeting or exceeding WCAG AA ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and non-text elements)
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element
- Full keyboard operability, including arrow-key navigation on the Menu page's tab interface (WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices)
- Form fields with associated labels, autocomplete hints, and live status messages
- Respect for the operating-system "reduce motion" preference, which disables animations and smooth scrolling
- Responsive design that reflows down to a 320px viewport without horizontal scrolling
- External links indicate "opens in a new tab" to assistive technology users
Evaluation Method
This site has been evaluated using a combination of:
- Automated testing with pa11y (combining HTML CodeSniffer and axe-core 4.11 rule sets) against WCAG 2.1 Level AA
- Manual color-contrast review using the WCAG relative-luminance formula
- Keyboard-only navigation testing
- Structural review of semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and heading hierarchy
Our most recent automated audit was performed on June 17, 2026. Our audit cadence is:
- Automated audit (pa11y + axe-core): at minimum every three (3) months, and after every substantive change to the site.
- Manual review (keyboard navigation, focus order, heading hierarchy, link purpose, form behavior): at minimum annually, and after major design changes.
- Re-baseline against the latest WCAG release (e.g., 2.2 or successor): at minimum annually.
Evidence retention. Audit reports are retained for a minimum of three (3) years and are available on request to the accessibility contact listed below. This documentation includes the test date, the tool versions used, the pages tested, and the issues identified and remediated.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on this site is provided by third parties whose accessibility we cannot fully control:
- Google Maps embed on the homepage Visit section: the embedded map iframe is provided by Google and its internal accessibility is controlled by Google. We provide the address, phone number, and a "Make a Reservation" call-to-action in plain HTML on the same page so visitors who cannot interact with the map can still access this information.
- SevenRooms reservation widget: clicking "Reserve" opens the SevenRooms platform in a new tab. SevenRooms is responsible for the accessibility of their own platform. Guests who experience any barrier with the SevenRooms reservation flow can make a reservation directly by calling us at 714.988.7335 or emailing hello@solerasealbeach.com.
